🌿 Farm Update: Snapdragons, Sunflowers, and a Whole Lot of Heart
This past week felt like a milestone here at Fox & Folly Farm — we harvested our very first snapdragons of the season. Those tall, ruffled beauties are always the ones that make me stop and breathe for a second. They’re the first real sign that all the planning, planting, watering, weeding, and hoping is turning into something you can actually hold in your hands.

The zinnias (my FAVS) are flushing out, painting the field in those joyful, punchy colors that feel like summer waking up. And the sunflowers… Oh, the sunflowers....sigh... well, they are now officially taller than me, which feels rude but also inspiring. They’re out here thriving while I’m just trying to remember where I set my coffee down. I am trying not to take it personally and give myself a gentle reminder that growth happens even when you’re too busy to notice it.

All of this is building toward something I’ve been dreaming about for months: ✨ Our U‑Pick Grand Opening is almost here! I cannot wait to welcome you into the field, hand you a pair of snips, and let you wander through rows of color to gather your own bouquet. We are aiming for June 20th but be sure to look for updates in case anything changes (I am at the mercy of the weather!)
And on June 20th, we’re hosting a workshop I’m especially excited about — Wildflower Windows. We’ll be creating delicate, airy pieces of art you can hang in your window, catching the light and holding a little piece of summer long after the season fades. It’s going to be slow, creative, and soul‑filling. If you want to join us for a couple hours of fun and community you can buy your tickets at the link below. Oh! and workshop participants will get first access to the flowers! https://foxandfollyfarm.com/products/creative-workshop-wildflower-windows
🌾 And Now...A Little Honesty From the Farmer
I’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately — balancing my full‑time job, the household, the flower farm, and planning our October wedding. It’s a lot. And for a while, I tried to carry it all like I was supposed to be good at everything, all the time.
But the farm has a way of teaching you things you didn’t know you needed to learn.
This season, my biggest lesson has been this: I am a human‑being, not a human‑doing.
Grace has become my new practice. Grace for the days I’m tired. Grace for the tasks that don’t get done. Grace for the imperfect, quirky, joyful parts of this farm that make this whole journey worth it.
Perfection is exhausting. Joy is not. And I’m choosing joy.
🌼 Thank You for Being Here
Every time you show up — whether it’s buying a bouquet, sharing a post, attending a workshop, or simply cheering from afar — you’re supporting a small business, a big dream, and a whole lot of heart.
I’m endlessly grateful for this community. You make the long days lighter. You make the early mornings worth it. You make this farm feel alive.
Here’s to snapdragons, sunflowers, creativity, grace, and all the beauty still ahead.
With love and dirt‑under‑my‑nails gratitude,
Shantal & Foxy
