If August had a personality, she’d be a dramatic aunt — sweeping in with blazing heat, big opinions, and a flair for testing your patience. And here at Fox & Folly Farm, we’ve been dancing right alongside her, tending seedlings like fragile little secrets, refreshing spaces to make them even more magical, and preparing for the most meaningful celebration of our lives.
It’s been a month of sweat, beauty, grit, and joy, and I wanted to share a little update from our corner of Owasso.
🌸 Babysitting Seedlings in a Heatwave
This heat has been no joke. The kind of heat that makes you question every life choice, especially the ones involving plants.
Our fall seedlings — the ones destined for October magic — are getting the full VIP treatment. Shade cloth, gentle watering, whispered encouragement, and a whole lot of “please don’t die.” They’re holding on, and honestly, I’m proud of them. There’s something tender about nurturing tiny green things in the middle of a furnace.
Heat Tip: Water early in the morning, mulch generously, and don’t be afraid to give your plants a little shade break. Even the toughest flowers appreciate a siesta.
🌿 The Atrium: Becoming Even More Magical
We’ve been refining the Atrium — not changing its soul, just polishing it. A little more charm here, a little more intention there. It’s becoming the kind of space where you walk in and feel your shoulders drop, your breath slow, and your imagination wake up.

🏡 Wedding Prep: Painting, Pathways, and Pure Heart
Our October wedding is coming fast, and the farm is buzzing with preparation.
We paved the driveway and painted the house. We refreshed the studio. We installed flagstone pathways that feel like stepping stones into a storybook.
Every improvement is infused with meaning — not just for the wedding, but for the future of Fox & Folly. This place is becoming the backdrop for so many celebrations, not just ours.
🌼 Branching Out Into Event Design
This season has made something very clear: Fox & Folly isn’t just a flower farm. It’s a creative event brand.
I’ve been leaning deeper into event styling, tablescapes, floral artistry, and the kind of design work that makes gatherings feel intentional and beautiful. It feels like the most natural evolution — like the farm has been whispering this direction all along.
🌾 Workshop Reminder: Gather & Bloom — October 17
Our next workshop is coming up on October 17, and it’s a special one.
Gather & Bloom: We’ll harvest the wedding flowers (yes, the wedding flowers!) and create designer arrangements together. It’s going to be slow, joyful, and deeply creative — the kind of workshop that feels like a warm hug.

💐 Subscriptions? Maybe…
I’ve been toying with the idea of offering bouquet subscriptions again. If I do, they will be pickup only — no deliveries. I want this to feel manageable, beautiful, and aligned with the rhythm of the farm.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly dreaming and sketching two new Fox & Folly projects — both wildly different, both deeply meaningful, both things I’ve wanted to create for years.
